Goo Goo Dolls Biography and Event Details

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative beginnings into one of pop rock's enduring hit-making bands. Vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac have continued to tour and record across a career spanning more than three decades. Their breakthrough album, Dizzy Up the Girl (1998), delivered signature songs including “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Black Balloon.”

“Iris,” also featured in the film City of Angels, became a defining song for the group and a familiar arena singalong. Other notable tracks include “Name,” “Here Is Gone,” and “Big Machine.” The band's more recent releases include Chaos in Bloom (2022), alongside a catalog that connects longtime fans with newer listeners through themes of love, longing, and resilience.

Venue and Seating Information

United Center is a large arena venue, and the concert's precise stage layout can affect sightlines and the feel of each section. Floor seats can put attendees close to the performance, while lower-bowl seats generally offer a useful balance of proximity and a broader view of the stage. Upper-level seats provide a more elevated perspective and may be a practical choice for fans prioritizing price.

Before selecting tickets, review the seating map for the event's configuration and check the listed section, row, and any possible view limitations. Arena stages and production layouts can vary by concert, so no section can be guaranteed to offer the same view for every show.

Parking Information

Parking around United Center can be busy on major concert nights. Review current venue parking guidance and allow extra time for traffic, entry queues, and walking from your chosen lot. Prices, availability, and operating arrangements may change for the event.
